Add a New Monitor

Directory Monitor will whisk documents in a specified location away and turn them into real mail. Before that can happen, you have to tell Directory Monitor which location to monitor. Follow these steps to add a monitor.

Please note: you must already have a saved template to add a monitor. You can learn how to do that by viewing this Knowledge Base article.

Click "Add new monitor".


Indicate which type of template you will associate with the monitor. Each monitor can only be associated with one template. For this example, we use “Capture Addresses from PDF”.


Click “Select Directory/Folder to be Monitored”.



Locate the directory/folder you want to monitor on your device and click “Open”.


The selected folder will appear under Directory/Folder Selected.

Use the Template menu to select a template and associate it with the monitor.



After selecting a directory/folder and a template, click “Next”.


The newly created monitor will be visible in the All Monitors list.
