Any form of marketing requires advanced planning, and EDDM® mailing is no exception. Think about these things before executing an EDDM® mailing:
- Geography - which neighborhoods do you want to target? EDDM® mailings are sent to carrier routes, which are literally a mail carrier's delivery route. Use the USPS EDDM Online Tool to search for carrier routes within a radius of an address. You can also enter zip codes to view carrier routes directly from the map, or view them in list form.
- What size piece do you want to send? Click2Mail offers six EDDM® mailer sizes. Available flat sizes include 6.5 x 9, 6.25 x 11, 8.5 x 11 and 8.5 x 12.
3. What are you going to put on your mailer? You'll want the piece to be visually appealing, but you'll also want to make sure you include an offer that entices people to engage. This could include a coupon, a free trial or a chance to win something. You can get creative with your offer. If you have a brick and mortar store that you want people to visit, don't forget to include your full address on the piece. If you have a mobile friendly website, include a QR code so recipients can scan immediately and visit you online.
