Automated First-Class Mail is a class of mail that includes:
- all matter wholly or partly in handwriting or typewriting (printed)
- all actual and personal correspondence
- all bills and statements of accounts
- all matter sealed or otherwise closed against inspection.
Any mailable matter may be sent as First-Class Mail.
For a mail piece to be considered First-Class Mail, all pieces must be able to be processed through the USPS automated machines, called machinable mail. For mail pieces to be considered machinable, they must be letter-size mail pieces and meet all of the machinable criteria. Click2Mail mail is designed to meet all USPS machinable criteria.
Each mail piece submitted through Click2Mail must include a complete delivery address and a correct ZIP Code or ZIP+4 Code in order to be processed correctly.
